Golden Globe recipients will be announced in a press conference

Yesterday, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced that the recipients of this years Golden Globe Awards will be revealed during an hour-long HFPA press conference on January 13, 2008 at The Beverly Hilton to be covered live by NBC News beginning at 6:00 pm PST on January 13. As already reported, Katherine Heigl is nominated for a “Golden Globe” award. In December Katherine Heigl told “Extra” that she might not attend the Golden Globes, even though she’s a nominee because she supporting the WGA strike.

“We can’t cross the picket lines, which is going to be very disappointing, but I am totally blaming the studios.” Katherine said as she picketed in Hollywood. She added, “It depends on what’s said and what’s handled. I guess theres something about a waiver…but I love the Golden Globes. It’s an awesome night.”
