Shiri Appleby to Participate in “24 Hour Hollywood Rush”

Back in 2006, Media Blvd Magazine had the wonderful experience of interviewing the beautiful and talented Shiri Appleby. In the interview, the actress revealed that she hoped one day to have the opportunity to give theater a try.
“I really want to still do a play, really badly. I’d love to start Off Broadway. I want to do something different, where the actor is totally in control. Film is a director’s world, television is a producer’s world, and they say theater is really the actor’s world, so it would be fun. You get to take your performance from the beginning to the end, and I’ve never really done that before.” Five years later, Shiri will get the chance to fulfill that ambition when she makes her theatrical debut in “24 Hour Hollywood Rush”. 24 Hour Hollywood Rush!
Shiri Appleby is scheduled to participate in “24 Hour Hollywood Rush“. A group of Hollywood’s most talented writers, directors and actors will come together to create a wildly entertaining and energizing night of unpredictable and unique theater. The event will take place on February 20th at the Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles – Be ready for a hysterical night of fun!
The process begins the day before the show when a group of talented writers will have 12 hours to produce six ten minute plays. At 8 a.m. the following morning those scripts will be distributed to a star-studded group of actors and directors, who will then rehearse the material. That evening after a red carpet arrival, the curtains will rise on plays that didn’t exist the day before and absolutely anything can happen.
Ticket prices start at $30 for general admission, VIP tickets are also available, which include access to the VIP after-party featuring the all-star cast and crew at the Ebell Club of Los Angeles following the performance.
The money raised from this fanciful evening is for the Baby Dragon Fund, which provides an array of essential recovery programs for the youth of Los Angeles. Specifically, funds will go to Crystal Meth Recovery, Youth Services and Mental Health Services at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center.
