Julie Benz signed on TNT’s two-hour movie “Ricochet”

Deadline.com reports exclusively that Julie Benz and John Corbett lead the cast of TNT’s two-hour movie “Ricochet”.

The movie is based on the book by Sandra Brown and it will air on the TNT network as part of TNT’s Tuesday Night Mystery this November.

Acoording to Deadline, Julie Benz was available to take on the role because of a recent change in her status on CBS’ upcoming supernatural medical drama “A Gifted Man”. The drama is about a brilliant, charismatic surgeon (Patrick Wilson) whose life changes forever when his deceased ex-wife begins teaching him the meaning of life from the hereafter. Julie Benz plays the lead characters off-beat sister Christina.

[…] She was a regular in the pilot, playing the sister of the lead, […] The family part of Michael’s life was substantial in the pilot, written by Susannah Grant, but the project has since been retooled by showrunner Neal Baer, an ER veteran, with the focus shifted predominantly to Michael’s medical world, a change underscored by the recent casting of Rachelle Lefevre as a new doctor. […]

Julie Benz will now be recurring on the show and this allows her to work on other projects as well.
