Roswell: A Fehr Act To Follow

Until Brendan Fehr, 22, walked into a Vancouver management agency looking for
modeling work in 1997, the Canadian knew zilch about things like scripts and
auditions. Still, the Manitoba native tried out for the role of sexy brooder
Michael on The WB’s Roswell and snagged it. The instant, small-screen success
was a shock considering, he says, that “[growing up in Canada], you wanted to
be a hockey player because that’s what you saw on TV all the time.” Now,
Canadian kids are starting to think, “Hollywood’s not so far away,” says Fehr
in an interview with Teen People.

Roswell focuses on a group of aliens living in New Mexico. The series blends
the sci-fi elements of UFOs and aliens with a traditional coming-of-age
drama. Besides Fehr, the show also stars Shiri Appleby, Jason Behr, Katherine
Heigl, Majandra Delfino, Colin Hanks, Nick Wechsler and William Sadler.

Earlier this year, in a campaign waged by loyal fans to save Roswell from a
doomed fate, The WB was bombarded with bottles of Tabasco sauce – the aliens’
beverage of choice – as a way of saying the series is hot. Although the show
faired poorly in Nielsen ratings last season, Roswell will return to The WB
this fall.

Hey just letting you guys know that brenden will be presenting an award at
the Much Music Video Awards Tonight on Much Music in Toronto. Since it is an
outdoors award show some the crashdown visitors may want to go down and see
him live. He will be co-hosting much on demand (an all request show) on
saturday with Rick the Temp. So people can also go down and see him then
