Fisher and Sergei to join the “To Love and Die in L.A.” cast
The USA Network announced yesterday that Frances Fisher and Ivan Sergei are going to join Shiri Appleby and Tim Matheson to the cast of “To Love and Die in L.A”.
Frances Fisher is best known for her role as Ruth Dewitt Bukater, Kate Winslet’s mother, in “Titanic”. Ivan Sergei has appeared in several tv shows like “Crossing Jordan” or “Charmed” and was in the films “The Break Up”, “The Opposite of Sex” and “The Big Day”. His feature film debut was in “Dangerous Minds” with Michelle Pfeiffer.
Frances Fisher will star as Janet, mother of Shiri Appleby’s character. Ivan Sergei is set to play Blue, a potential love interest for Appleby who also works for Matheson.
Mark Piznarski will direct “To Love and Die in L.A.”. He just finished the work on the drama “Looking for Sunday” and his director filmography includes episodes of “Veronica Mars”, “NYPD Blue”, “Everwood”, “My So-Called Life” and more. Sara Goodman serves as creator and co-executive producer. JoAnn Alfano (“30 Rock,” “Sons & Daughters”) and David Kanter (“Crime & Punishment”) are executive producers. Andrew Singer (“Sons & Daughters”) is the producer of this project.
