B+T Launches Indiegogo & 2nd Promo

Baron and Toluca’s second promo has landed and we’re over the moon with excitement!
This is not a drill! This is not a drill! But it is a **SPOILER ALERT!** The wait is over! A second trailer for “Baron And Toluca” has been released! Be sure to watch the promo before you continue reading!

The first promo for “Baron And Toluca” showed that the chemistry between the main characters is as sizzling as the heat in the New Mexico desert, and it definitely made fans thirsty for more! The second promo went one step further, hinting at the paranormal power that our two characters are facing and set our minds racing at warp speed in order to figure out what exactly it is that’s going on!
So what do we know? Although this promo definitely leaves more questions than answers, we know that the show will be packed with ‘Roswell’ and ‘dan’ Easter Eggs. For example, the tea kettle and ginger tea is a clear nod to “bee and tea” (B+T) and I’m sure we weren’t the only ones whose hearts went pitter-patter at the sight of Colin Hanks’s “Orange County” DVD! But if you look a bit closer, you’ll notice other nods to science-fiction shows, books, and movies. It seems our alien adventures are not limited to the Whirlwind Galaxy anymore as ‘Baron and Toluca’ aims to entice fans of multiple genres, dabbling in elements that have made cinematic hits such as “Stranger Things” and “Back to the Future” so popular. Indeed, H.G. Wells’s “The Complete Science Fiction Treasury” was evident there on the table, and Baron was clearly trying to enjoy a relaxing night in with his Ramen noodles and the “Space Soldiers” episode of “Flash Gordon: The Planet of Peril!” And was it just us, or did all this flashing light business, time distortions, and disappearing people craziness have a distinctly ‘Roswell’ episode ‘WipeOut’ feel? Then again, maybe we’re all losing our minds, Toluca.
One thing is for sure: fans of ‘Roswell,’ paranormal mysteries, science fiction, Brendan, Majandra –and other familiar faces!–are sure losing their minds, collectively, in sheer excitement over this show, this premise, and the participation of promoting and helping to produce such an awesome love-letter to the OG Roswell fans! It’s #OGRoswellLoveFest meets #BandTLoveFest in the best of ways!
So what happens now? What happens to Toluca and Baron? What happens with “Baron and Toluca?”
And just who is this mysterious Miles Sorrenti? The fact that his dad died from the very same experiences plaguing Baron and Toluca is one of the many puzzle pieces these two reluctant partners will have to figure out. Can he be trusted? Can they even trust each other??
“We won’t find out any of these things without your help. We are asking our amazing fans and all you sci-fi lovers out there to support us in bringing B+T to a screen near you,” Majandra Delfino summed up in the intro to the second promo.
We have to #BandTogether in order to get this gem on the screen!
The Indiegogo Campaign website went live at the same time as the second Promo. Within 5 hours, fans reached 1/3 of the fixed goal (or roughly $33,000!) snatching up perks such as #BandT sticker packs, zoom calls with our favorite Roswellians, and even the opportunity to visit the set! Clearly evident is the love of a fanbase that has been loyal for over 21 years! Pardon the Mandy Moore lyrical pun, but we’re “craving you like Candy” and more of the hilarious dynamic and interaction between Majandra and Brendan–whether it’s as Maria and Michael or as Toluca and Baron!
We have a job to do. We’re on the case now. We have a role to play and a job to do. Every dollar counts. Tell your friends! Tell your annoying office mates that drive you bananas! Sharing is caring, after all!
As for Toluca Mendez and Jake Baron: In order to survive this science-fiction mystery, they have to work together–that is, if they don’t kill each other first.
