“Machete Kills” – William Sadler Plays Sheriff Doakes

William Sadler tweeted this status update on July 25th, 2012 and referred to his latest acting gig on Robert Rodriguez’s “Machete Kills”. Later he shared a lobby card which features his character, Sheriff Doakes, with his Twitter followers.

Synopsis: The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.

“Machete Kills” stars Danny Trejo, Alexa Vega, Michelle Rodriguez, Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara, Zoe Saldana, Edward James Olmos, Charlie Sheen, Elise Avellan and Electra Avellan.

In addition Lady Gaga is making her acting debut in the movie.

Director Robert Rodriguez revealed via Twitter that the musician joined the cast and it turns out that William Sadler is a fan of the singer. He tweeted to La Chameleón:
