• Wow! Has it really been 15 years? It’s hard to believe it’s been that long; seems like just yesterday I was watching the pilot airing on TV. It happened at a perfect time of my life, too. In the three years it aired, I was going through high school and I graduated in 2002, the same year the show ended and the characters graduated.

  Roswell mixed the teen drama with the science fiction so well and gave me a chance to see that I wasn’t the only one who had drama with friends and family. It showed me it was okay to be different and that I didn’t have to fit into a ‘cookie cutter’ mold of what a real teen should be. It assured me I could be friends with anyone, even those considered ‘outsiders’, because those people can turn out to be best friends. I can honestly say that some of those people I met in high school are still my friends today, 15 years later, because I didn’t judge them for being outsiders or being different; I got to know who they were on the inside, because that’s what truly counts.

  Recently, I’ve been able to connect online with fellow Roswellians via Twitter (and other social networking sites) and I’m happy I’m able to make friends across the world who enjoy the show. It makes me wish we had better social networking sites back then!

  I had a really good friend back when Roswell was airing on TV. We loved talking about it and we’re still friends, but we’ve been kinda out-of-touch the last few years. Because of the 15th Anniversary of Roswell, her and I have started talking about the show again, like we did back then, and we’re slowly rebuilding our friendship, so I’m also thankful to Roswell for helping bring our friendship back!

  A few months ago, I got a chance to watch the series again. I still love it as much as I always have and I think it’s truly timeless. Many of the things the characters dealt with or did in the series are things teens now-a-days still deal with or can relate to – friends, family, relationships, love, romance, secrets, loss of friends, pain and depression, just to name a few. Even now, I struggle with many of these myself and I’m almost 31 years old, so it’s not just a show for teenagers. The Roswell characters may be in high school during the series, but it can be seen as a metaphor for life at any age.

  Roswell also helped me keep an open mind about life in the universe. No one can say for sure if there is or isn’t life outside of Earth, our solar system or the Milky Way Galaxy, but maybe one day we’ll find out more. Until then, I’ll keep an open mind and I will always have Roswell in my heart!

• Roswell is and will Always be my Favorite show even 15 years later because the love story between Max and Liz always stood with me because we all want a love that’s true and never ending like theirs.Roswell is a show that everyone can relate to.The characters were romodels to us fans growing up and even till this day.The Roswell Reunion gave us hope that maybe one day the story will continue.Roswell showed us that why should we try to fit in when someone will love us and accept us for being ourselves just like Liz always accepted Max for being different.

• Roswell makes me feel young. I can watch it over and over again and it never gets boring. Best series I ever watched.

• I remember when the first episode aired, I was probably around 11 or 12 and knew I was hooked. A week was so long to wait. Ha ha, there were times that I recall yelling at the screen when Max broke Liz’s heart and when she did the same to him but her reason was to save the world or when every one was on Michael’s case about his behavior till we got a glimpse of his foster home. I started to re-watch the show and it brought back a flood of memories; when I would put myself as Liz hoping that Max would come and rescue me. When the show was in its last season I was crushed, four seasons was just not enough. I always wondered what happened after they got married? I read all the books the show is based on because I couldn’t get enough of Roswell or except that it was over. Certain shows don’t leave, especially the ones through your teen years and for me, Roswell is one of those shows that just stuck around in my head and became a part of me.

• Roswell is out of this world. I remember watching this show when I was only 12. But cause I was so young, it was forgotten until one day I saw it on Foxtel (Cable TV) and that’s where my love for the show began all over again. Max Evans is so charming and that coming from a guy :p

  Wish there was a movie or new season. So many unanswered questions play through my head.

• Literally words can’t describe how good this series was. I first read some of the books in high school then found out it was a tv series and bought it at half price books store ( awesome store by the way ). I did not like the series when I first watched it ( the first 2 episodes). I think I was comparing it too much to the book. But then I started watching them on netflix and literally got addicted lol. Rosewell is the seriously the best because even if someone just discovers it even though it is 15 years old will love it. The characters are so relatable. I was so sad when it ended even though I knew it had been over for awhile. It is one of those series where you just don’t want to end.

  first off let me say that I can’t believe that apparently nobody commented here (or maybe I’m just not allowed to see them?). I have been checking this website from time to time since basically the year 2000 when Roswell first started airing where I live (Austria/Europe). I remember how good of a source this site (and the “legendary” roswell.na.nu) was when it came to finding the music from the episodes.

  I have been in love with Roswell from the first episode on. It gave me this distinct feeling and had such a great and touching story. Even though it was “just” television and therefore not real, it meant so much to me and got me thinking for the first time what love could be and should be like. A very important subject when you’re in your mid-teens :). I used to stay up at nights to watch the re-run of the episode that was aired the day before, which meant that I would be completely tired the next day in school, but I didn’t care. I recorded the whole show on VHS and some of the cassettes really got a very bad picture by now because I watched them so many times, especially in the first few years after the show had ended.

  Roswell never was a typical “teenie show”, it had a completely unique topic that drove the show and it wasn’t “sexed up” like many other, especially newer shows. It conveyed important values in a time where one had to decide what kind of person one wanted to become, and it was amongst the shows that eventually made me a huge tv series buff.
  Therefore it’s a given that I also watch Revenge and I am very glad that ABC renewed it for a 4th season. I never watched Life Unexpected when it aired because I didn’t find the topic particularly interesting, but I eventually caught up and I was wrong. Shiri brought her magic to the show and I had a good time watching it. I hope that we will see her on tv again someday, in a lead role that is.

  Roswell will always have a very special place in my heart and it’s my favorite tv show of all time (together with Due South). A Roswell movie probably won’t happen (it never had such a big following like Veronica Mars for example) which is sad considering that all the actors and actresses virtually look the same as they did such a long time ago, but the show had a beautiful ending, which I am very thankful for, especially after the rather rocky 3rd season in my opinion.

  My final thanks go to the operators of this amazing website that is still taken care of so many years after the show has ended. I have never been involved with the community, I just enjoyed the show, but I am glad that there are people who keep the show alive. Thank you Lena and co.

• I could lie and say that I started watching the show because I had an infatuation with aliens. But no, that wasn’t the case. It was Jason Behr. I was seriously in love with him. Lol I was really over the whole Dawson’s creek craze and when I saw the trailer for Roswell with Jason as Max I had to tune in. Hooked – instantly. Collecting magazines, making collages, wearing nothing but the Levi’s brand because the entire cast had just done an ad campaign for the brand. Going as far as teaching my 1 year old niece (who is now 16) all the characters names and video taped it because I desperately wanted to meet the cast on an episode of MTV’s “Fanatic”. :) Now being 29 I still have all of my Roswell memorabilia, the soundtrack, the books, the series, magazines etc. I’m a mom now and though some scenes are not age appropriate for my daughter we will snuggle on the couch and watch it together; with my 16 year old niece as well. :) needless to say,after watching the show I did in fact become somewhat infatuated with aliens.

• I first started watching Roswell when I was 12 but I only saw a couple of episodes until they took it to cable. Now I watch it all the time. What really felt so special about the show was the fact that the differences between Max and Liz were kind of what brought them together. The unconditional love they had for each other was something so strong that it made me wanting to watch over and over again, and also because Jason Behr was on the show!

• Roswell may be 15 years old but it is still one of my favourate TV shows of all time. It was one of my first ever TV shows that I got addicted to. I remember being so excited when I bought the DVD boxsets and realised that I hadn’t seen season three!! Amazing cast, amazing story lines and to this day watching it can still give me all the emotions I got from the first time round. My my only disappointment is that Roswell only got three seasons, it deserved so many more.

• Roswell is important to me because it brought me and my friends together. It started with my friend Shruti who kinda “tricked” us all into watching it. It was a great bonding experience and it brought us all closer and I’m really glad to have seen it and to have watched it with some of my closest friends.

• I believe I was 16 years old (I’m 30 now) when I saw my first episode of Roswell. I was sitting in the living room with my basketball coach whom had adopted me. I remember thinkimg to myseld that I wanted a love story just like Liz and Max, but who doesnt right?! Growing up in and out of foster homes I had an extremely hard time communicating and showing love. But little by little I learned to discuss Roswell with my adopted family and I became more comfortable with them. Almost 15 years later and I still love watching this show! It’s a beautiful love story but it also taught me about true friendship, having hope, and never to give up on my dreams. I have even gotten my boyfriend addicted to Roswell. It’s something that we can always watch together. Sorta like our piece of mind away from everything :)

  Roswell has been incredibly influential for me. I was a newer fan, only getting to see it once it was off air unfortunately, but it stuck. I rewatch the series at least twice a year. The relationship between Max and Liz was always so heart wrenching for me, however what stuck with me most about the show was of course the message about acceptance. Even though Max, Liz, and Michael were different, Liz still accepted them with open arms as well as many other members of the show. The relationships that built were lifetime friendships, and it really goes to show that you never know who will end up leaving a lasting impact on your life.

• Even after so long I still love to watch Roswell – there is a charm to the show that isn’t present in many shows; hard to explain to anyone that hasn’t watched to show. I started to watch Roswell when I was a teenage and it bridged the gap between fantasy and reality. Also I love the music in the show; David Gray, Dido, Sheryl Crow – the list could go on.

• In 1999 when Roswell aired I was in 8th grade and as soon as I saw the first preview on The WB I was pulled in. I was already a cult TV fan at that point watching Buffy since 5th grade religiously. I always had an affinity for anything to do with Aliens or conspiracy and so I gave it a shot. It took all of about 3 minutes for me to be hooked. The scene of Max healing Liz still sticks out on my head as one of the all-time moments on TV. I never missed an episode from there. I bought all the Roswell High books and the series tie-ins since I connected with the show so much and couldn’t get enough. I still own them to this day. Before they had DVD seasons I would buy the episodes on Yahoo Auctions with labeled VHS tapes and the commercials removed. I did this with only my favorite shows that would need to be watched multiple times over the summer. A trunk that I keep many old memorabilia from High School in is covered with stickers from my favorite bands and TV shows and right on top is my “Thank You for Visiting Roswell” sticker. I can’t even describe how thankful I was when UPN picked up Roswell and Buffy and aired them together. It made all the Tobasco and Snapple bottles sent in worth it! For the last 13 years I ‘ve watched “A Roswell Christmas Carol” every year on Christmas Eve and its as important as any childhood Christmas movie as it brings back great memories. I also watch a Tale of Two Parties the next week and you know rewatch the entire series every couple years. I’ve turned so many friends over the years and I’ve never heard anything but praise after. I’ve found so many other shows I loved because I kept track of all the actors from the series over the years. I only wish I could have been at the Reunion ATX because that would have blown my mind, but sadly I can’t just dive into a fictional world like it’s 8th grade again. When I remember watching Roswell it always brings back the best memories and these pieces of memorabilia would b such a prize! I love that this site is still running after all these years and that I still have it bookmarked!

  Sorry for my English, I try to be better.
  First of all, Roswell is a TV Show discovered by my parents! They had heard about this TV Show on the TV about Roswell’ town. We watch the first episode with my sister on ski holidays.
  I immediately became a huge fan since 2001 (I recorded on VHS cassette tape every episode).
  I just wait one thing: to go in this town rent a car and sleep under the stars on the outskirts of the town … my dream..
  It’s the only TV Show I bought in DVD, I watch an episode when I feel depressed or when I’m painting.
  Two years ago, I introduced my best friend to Roswell (she left us now). She was affected by a cancer, she spent her time to watch Roswell and she told me that she prefered one episode specially: “A Roswell Christmas Carol” (210) because it gave her courage and strength when she saw Max Evans saving all children in hospital.
  Congrats for your unforgettable TV Show because today I know each episode and I’m so happy when I’m watching them again.

• I’ve loved Roswell since the first episode! I was in 8th grade then. At the time I became friends with a new classmate & we bonded over this show since we both loved it. We’ve been best friends ever since! We still make references to this show which of course leaves everyone else in the dark when were together. Haha. In a way we owe our friendship to this show, since it brought us together.

• This is the show I grew up with. I started watching when I was around 14 and absolutely loved it.
  Still remains to be my favourite show of all time :)

• After watching Roswell in my teens, and revisiting over 10 years later on Netflix, this show has upheld a special place in my heart. Sci-Fi shows or movies that could relate to you when you’re a teen are still few to come by. The premise and characters on this show captivated me, and the chemistry between Max and Liz is something everyone would feel a need for. As a huge Star Trek fan, all the Trekkie mentions (and Riker appearances, well ok, Mr. Frakes) just made me love this show that much more.

• For me, Roswell will always be about high school. It was a time when all my high school girl friends were in love with the same thing. Not all of us had the WB channel, so I would tape it when it aired, and bring the VHS tape (remember those?!) in to school the next day, and we would hijack the science lab TV-VCR combo, and scream and squee, before that term even existed. We has lively debates over who was the better couple – Max and Liz, or Michael and Maria (Max and Liz, OBVIOUSLY). We wore black the day after Alex died, to express our grief. The name “Tess” became almost a curse word. Basically, we were crazy, silly, young high school girls. Now we’re all turning 30. Life has changed, and I don’t squee as much as I used to, but I’ll always have a soft spot for Roswell, and all the memories surrounding it. And sometimes, I still want to be Liz Parker ;)

• I believe fell in love with Roswell even before the show aired. I remember seeing the promo “Don’t say anything” & knew I had to watch Roswell. I was hooked forever after watching the pilot episode on October 6, 1999.

  The mere thought that an alien boy would save the life of a human girl was very intriguing & the chemistry between Shiri Appleby & Jason Behr made the love story very believable.

  Roswell was the only show that I rushed to make sure I was in front of the TV and told everyone no to disturb me while “my favorite” program was on. The first season was the best for me, the love story of Max & Liz trumped the alien alienation story line for me. The characters were very relatable, from smart Liz, brooding Max, funny Maria, goofy Ales, I loved them all.

  Roswell is still special to me because it brings back so many wonderful memories not only of the show, but meeting other fans both online & in person, and sharing my thoughts on the show with them.

• I discovered “Roswell” back in 2004 when a Swedish channel was airing Roswell re-runs late at night and fell in love instantly. I was only 10 years and weren’t allowed to watch the show for my parents because of some pretty intense scenes, but I used to sneak up and turn on the TV in the living room. The love between by the star-crossed main characters Liz and Max made me swear to one day find a love like that, which I eventually did. I re-discovered the series again in 2008 and have since then rewatched it over a 100 times. It just never gets old. The 90’s were a golden age for TV series and Roswell is definitely a proof of that.

• I watched Roswell couple of years ago and that time i did not watch it so regularly. Recently i watched it and i finished all the episodes within a week :). i love Roswell and everyone in it. Max and Liz specially. If there was a fourth o fifth o sixth season Im sure ill be ready to watch it. God.. i wish roswell didnt end with only three seasons.
  All the stories are linked so perfectly. i love the love story of max and lix. They are like the most romantic couple i have ever seen. BEST SHOW EVER..

• I don’t t remember exactly when I saw Roswell for the first time, I was probably 16 years old, but I know that it was love at first sight.
  Now that I have more than 30 years I still love it.
  I love the characters, the stories of love and friendship.
  It is my favorite show because it made me laugh and cry.

• When Roswell started, I was 11 years old. In my country, the show arrived one year later. The show was emitted on saturdays, and I was all the week waiting for the weekend to see it.
  Roswell was one of the first shows I saw on tv when I was a kid. I wanted so much grow up and be a teen to live what Liz and the gang lived. After the show ended, I had the song stuck in my head for years. And that was the first thing I did when I had internet at home, find that song.
  Now I have the 3 seasons and I watch it over and over. I know dialogues, scenes, what song play in the background… I practically forced a friend to watch it and she liked too, we talked after every chapter and I listened her and her theories. That was a really fun time. I really like and enjoy and still crying in some scenes. I’ll never get over Alex death, though. :P Roswell left a mark on my childhood when I was 11 years and now, with almost 27, still love the show, and I follow every new project where the cast are.
