Katherine In Critical Assembly On NBC

Katherine Heigl is set to star in the premiere of the NBC original movie “Critical Assembly”. The film was originally due to air in the Fall of 2001 – under the title “Ground Zero” – but was shelved as a result of the tragic events of September 11th.

The renamed film will air Saturday, July 12th 9/8pm on NBC and is described by NBC as follows:

“In this heart-pounding NBC original movie, four globally minded college students secretly build a nuclear device just to prove how easy it is. However, when real terrorists steal the bomb, it’s a race against time to find and disarm it. Katherine Heigl (Roswell), Kerr Smith (Dawson’s Creek) and Michael Beach (Third Watch) co-star. TV14”
