ATX Televison Festival – Nick Wechsler Joined “Dawson’s Creek” Live Script Reading

For the first time in ATX Television Festival’s history, a script live reading panel was included to the schedule and it really featured a „special guest cast“ as promised on the Festival’s programming page.

Kerr Smith was the only original cast member from the show to attend this years festival, so he received the support from a hilarious cast including Revenge’s Nick Wechsler.

Since the live reading cast swapped gender roles and Kerr Smith did not read the role of his character Jack a hilarious panel was inevitable.

The “Dawson’s Creek” Script Reading presented by Kevin Williamson took place on Sunday, June 7th, 2015 in the State Theater. The show creator was joined by a fun cast which was lead by „Parenthood“ alum Mae Whitman. She slipped into the role of the young inspiring filmaker Dawson, while Patrick J. Adams (Suits) read the role of Joey. Rectify’s Abigail Spencer spoke the role of Pacey. Since Kerr Smith’s “Dawson’s Creek” character Jack wasn’t included in the pilot episode of the show, he stepped into the role of Jen during the panel.

Also part of the fun all-star cast were: Louanne Stephens, who read the role of Grams, Derek Phillips and Stacey Oristano as Mr. und Mrs. Leery, Arielle Kebbel as Tamara, Kristian Bruun as Bessie and Nellie. Kevin Williamson served as the narrator during the script reading and Nick Wechsler joined the cast as Bodie and Mr. Gold.
