Star Trek: Discovery – Two Former Roswell Writers Are In Command Of The “Bridge”
Executive producer Bryan Fuller has stepped away from his role as show runner of “Star Trek: Discovery”. He is handing the reins to fellow executive producers Gretchen J. Berg and Aaron Harberts, with producing support from Akiva Goldsman.
Bryan Fuller wrote on his Twitter page: “Riker spent 7 years of TNG unready for Captaincy, @GretchenJBerg @AaronHarberts are ready. Thrilled to see them in command of the Bridge.”
“Bryan, you’re my brother, mentor & friend. We will continue what we started & make you proud. I love your gorgeous heart & soul. Thx. xxoo”, wrote Gretchen J. Berg in a reply to Bryan Fuller. Aaron Harberts added, “You are as generous as you are talented. We will do our best to make you proud. I love you.”
Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts were executive producers and writers on ABC’s “Revenge” or The CW’s “Reign” most recently. They also have writing credits on Bryan Fuller’s “Pushing Daisies”.
The new Star Trek chapter is set to premiere on CBS All Access in spring 2017.
