This weekend is the 38th annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pro/Celebrity Race where actor Nick Wechsler of ABC’s “Revenge” will be joining competitors like “Amazing Race” host Phil Keoghan, “Being Human” actor Sam Witwer and former NASCAR driver Kyle Petty to test their mettle on a street. “I would seriously doubt I’d place, I mostly just want to be able to keep up with the pack so that I was having fun with everyone, trying to keep up, and trying to hold everyone off,” Wechsler says. “There are going to be some people who will win and there’ll be some people who are trailing, but I just want to be in the middle. That’s fine with me, because I’ve never done this before and it’s just fun.”

When he was invited to be in the race, he asked if Witwer could also participate. “I was like, ‘Hey ask if Sam can go because he’s a great talented actor who actually does like driving fast,” Wechsler laughs. Wechsler and Witwer are just one pair of friends competing against each other at tomorrow’s Pro/Celebrity race. Another pair of good friends who wanted to race together are “Top Gear” host and Fox Sports 1 analyst Rutledge Wood and his best friend, former NASCAR racer and Fox Sports 1 analyst Kyle Petty.
